01 / Before booking or travelling Read the current event joining instructions, eligibility, licence and briefing requirements. Check the event’s noise rules and vehicle acceptance before making plans. Confirm helmet and clothing requirements for the event and vehicle; check fit and condition. Plan the journey, arrival time and what you will do if the car cannot travel home. 02 / Prepare the car and specifications Arrange an appropriate vehicle inspection and address unresolved mechanical concerns. Keep the relevant manufacturer/service specifications with any tools you know how to use. Check the organiser’s recovery/towing-point requirements and your vehicle’s instructions. Plan where loose belongings, tools and bags will be stored away from the car during running. 03 / Pack the useful bag Bring the required licence/ID, booking details and joining instructions in a usable format. Pack suitable, correctly fitting personal equipment required by the organiser. Pack only known-use tools, a suitable gauge and labelled supplies you actually need. Bring a notebook, a pen and a way to record maintenance questions while parked. 04 / On arrival and before leaving Complete sign-on, briefing and any required checks before participating. Ask officials about anything unclear: flags, pit lane, overtaking, timing or equipment. Follow appropriate checks and stop procedures if the car or driver needs attention. Before the journey home, check the vehicle’s road-use setup and resolve any concerns. The event instructions do the deciding Track days and competition have different requirements.
